Problem:

Littlestown Foundry, or Littco, in Littlestown, PA, USA, produces high-quality aluminum castings used by the electrical, pleumatic transport, valve and awning industries. They had to remove all metal particles from their wet foundry sand before reuse.

Solution:

To solve their aluminum-recovery problem, Littlestown management chose an Eriez Eddy Current Separator System that included a Rare Earth Drum Separator (to remove any stray steel pieces), a heavy duty mechanical-drive Vibratory Pan Feeder (to evenly distribute the flow) and an Eddy Current Separator (for the final metallic/non-metallic separation).
